Mangual Trek
Bankhandi - Chohal - Manguwal Trek takes us to through spectacular mountain views, alluvial fans, river terraces and gravel beds of recent age and the sandstone, claystone and conglomerates belonging to Shiwalik group.This region also has ancient temples, of which the most famous is Chintpurni temple. Also the trekkers go through natural forests.
Itinerary (Bankhandi - Chohal - Manguwal Trek):

Day 1 (Manguwal - Chohal):
Arrive Manguwal. Meet our representative. Trek begins. We start from Manguwal to Chohal via Fatkan Salern village. This is a forest area covered with bushes, camp below the dam. Chohal is a small township with a hotel and a small market.
Day 2 (Chohal - Nari):
On second day of Bankhandi - Chohal - Manguwal Trek, we trek for 8 km to reach a village with one house only and then to Nari 4 km. We camp at Nari which has 2-3 houses with a small temple and camping ground.
Day 3 (Nari - Thaplan):
On fourth day, we trek to Thaplan that is boarderline of Himachal Pradesh & Punjab. This is forested area and one can use the school for an overnight stay. Overnight in camp.
Day 4 (Thaplan - Nagroli):
Next destination of trek is Nagroli, but we camp above the village in the forest. Thaplan to Bankhandi is all forest and accessible by trek only. Overnight in camp.
Day 5 (Nagroli - Badhera):
We trek to reach Badhera. En route is Pir-Baba Temple. Camp in Badhera.
Day 6 (Badhera - Una):
The route covers Maili, Balibal, Pubuwal, Kuthad beet, Pullian, Dulehed and Gondpur, there is a school at Gondpur village. Drive to Una where there is a railhead for onward journey. Trek concludes.
