Deo Tibba Trek
Deo Tibba trek is pleasant trek that takes us to the grazing pastures of the Gaddi shepherds and the emerald blue waters of the Chandertal Lake (4,480 m) with magnificent views of Deo Tibba peak (6,001 m) and its huge hanging glaciers. This is a spectacular view that haunts every trekker giving a unique experience.
We also, either at beginning or end, take a side tour to the top of Rohtang Pass for fine views into the arid vastness of Lahaul. We conclude our tour of the upper Kullu Valley and embark for a visit of Dharamsala, the center of the Tibetan culture in exile, from where we return back to Delhi.
This specially designed Deo Tibba hiking and trekking tour in Himachal Pradesh is a combined effort of a team of certified mountaineers and travel agents in India aiming at making travel economical and affordably cheap for the budget trekker walking in the Himalayas as well as maintaining quality at par with the world-class standards. We feel our job, as tour operators and trek guides, is to design treks giving our customers a memorable experience in trekking adventure.
Itinerary (Deo Tibba Trek):
New Delhi - Manali – Khanol - Chhika – Tenta - Deo Tibba Base - Bhanara - Manali - Manikaran - Kullu - Dharamsala - Pathankot - New Delhi

Day 1 (New Delhi, India):
Arrive Delhi. Meet Gypsy Feet representative. Deo Tibba Trek begins. Transfer to Hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 2 (New Delhi - Manali):
On second day of Deo Tibba Trek, we take a morning train to Chandigarh. Arrive chandigarh. Transfer to Manali. Overnight in Manali.
Day 3 (Manali):
Full day sightseeing of Manali. Overnight Manali.
Day 4 (Manali – Khanol, 16 km):
Next destination of trek is Khanol, we drive upto Jagatsukh and then start the trek along the Jagatsukh nallah upwards through green forests with an amazing variety of vegetation dot the way to reach Khanol (2200 m). The Manali valley appears far below and to the east lies the mighty mountain – Deo Tibba. Overnight in camp.
Day 5 (Khanol – Chhika, 8 km):
We trek through a stretch of 3-4 kms that is steep through forest and then a long & wide alpine plateau with wild flowers to reach Chikka (3350 m). Chhika provides the best rocks for climbing in the area. Overnight in camp.
Day 6 (Chhika – Tenta, 10 kms):
The route is along the right bank of Jagatsukh nallah and passes through Seri. Seri was once a glaciated lake, but is now a meadow carpeted with an astounding variety of herbs and alpine flowers. Along the trek, sudden appearance of Deo Tibba (6001 m) is breathtaking. Overnight in tents at Tenta (4180 m).
Day 7 (Tenta – Deo Tibba Base - Tenta, 10 km):
On the 8th day of Deo Tibba Trek, we finally reach beautiful lake with emerald blue water – Chandertal lake (4480 m) at the base of Deo Tibba. The flora enthusiast will have a wonderful time trying to identify the hundreds of flowers growing everywhere. Overnight in tents.
Day 8 (Tenta – Bhanara):
The Deo Tibba Trek continues and we descend down to Bhanara village. In the afternoon explore nearby areas and view Shringtingu mountain range. Overnight in tents.
Day 9 (Bhanara - Manali):
Trek down to Jagatsukh village enroute visit local temples and a historical cave ‘Arjun Gufa’. From Jagatsukh travel to Manali by car/jeep. Overnight in Manali.
Day 10 (Manali - Manikaran, 85 km - Kullu, 45 km):
Full day excursion visiting Manikaran. Manikaran has the World’s hottest Suplhur Spring Waters and is a holy place for Hindus & Sikhs alike. Return back to Kullu town enroute visiting the famous Kullu Shawl Industry. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening free to visit Kullu town. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 (Kullu - Dharamsala, 200 km):
Travel by surface from Kullu to Mc Leodganj (Dharamsala). On arrival check in at hotel. Evening half day city tour visiting Dal Lake, Church, Bhagsu Nag Temple and Tibetan Monastery. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12 (Dharamsala - Pathankot - New Delhi):
Half day excursion visiting Jawalmukhi Temple & Chintpurni Temple - these temples are one of the 51 Shaktipeeths. Drive to Pathankot. Overnight train to New Delhi. Arrive Delhi. Transfer to airport for flight to onwards journey. Deo Tibba Trek concludes.
