Dharamsala Chamba Trek
Dharamsala Minkiani Pass Chamba Trek takes us through Tibetan Children village, Dal Lake, Satubari and Ghera along pine trees. On this trek we also get a chance to view various monasteries that this region is famous for. We also get scenic views of peaks with green natural forests and not to mention the interaction with local people that provides a glimpse into their living.

Day 1 (New Delhi, India):
Arrive Delhi. Meet our representative. Transfer to hotel. Sightseeing Delhi. Board overnight train to Pathankot.
Day 2 (Pathankot - McLeodganj, 1800 M):
On second day of Dharamsala - Minkiani Pass Chamba Trek, we drive to McLeodganj. Visit monasteries and temples. Overnight in McLeodganj.
Day 3 (McLeodganj - Kareri villaga, 1800 M):
On third day, we Kareri village. This village is inhabited by shepherds who have small holdings of terraced fields. The trek passes through Tibetan Children village, Dal Lake, Satubari and Ghera along pine trees. Gentle descent upto Ghera and then followed by a steep climb of about 2.5 km.
Day 4 (Kareri village - Kareri Lake, 3150 M):
The trek goes steeply up to Kali Mandir or one can trek via Rohli which is a longer trek with mild ascents. The trek goes all along Kareri Nullah between a valley thickly wooded on both sides. There is a Naag Mandir (Shiva temple) on the enterance of the dried lake. Overnight in camp.
Day 5 (Kareri Lake - Minkiani Gote over Minkiani Pass, 3250 M):
it takes about 3-4 hours to reach the pass. Sudden weather change, blizzards and white out conditions are a common phenomena at this pass. Minliani Gote has a beautiful camping area, towards east the trek goes to the famous Lamdal Lake and north it descends to Chamba valley.
Day 6 (Minkiani Gote - Drakund, 1900 M):
We steeply descend along the Lamdal Nullah to Drakund which has a forest rest house surrounded by apple orchards. The best season to visit this place is August and September, Gaddis and Gujjars are seen along with their sheep and buffaloes
Day 7 (Drakund - Dunali):
On the 7th day of Dharamsala - Minkiani Pass Chamba Trek, we reach Dunali, which is located on the Chamba-Bharmaur road. Drive to Chamba which is a traditional town with famous Laxmi Narayan temples in groups. Bhuri Singh museum, Chogan and Chamunda temple on the top of the town are historic places.
Day 8 (Chamba - Pathankot):
We drive to Pathankot to catch overnight train to New Delhi.
Day 9 (New Delhi):
Arrive New Delhi. Transfer to airport for flight to onwards journey. Dharamsala - Minkiani Pass Chamba Trek concludes.
