Manali Hamya Herbal Trek
Manali Hamya Herbal Trek takes us through a natural trail that follows from Manali to Chikka, situated at 3,000 m and for camping one has to go over to right bank of Hamta Nallah. This site is having plenty of choices of natural herbs and a nice experience for those who are not just looking for a hike experience. Experience nature at its purest.
Itinerary (Manali - Hamya Herbal Trek):

Average Walking time: 5-6 hours per day
Day 1 (New Delhi, India):
Arrive Delhi. Meet Himalayan Trekker representative. Transfer to Hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 2 (New Delhi - Manali):
On second day of Manali - Hamya Herbal Trek, we take a morning train to Chandigarh. Arrive chandigarh. Transfer to Manali. Overnight in Manali.
Day 3 (Manali):
Full day sightseeing of Manali. Overnight Manali.
Day 4 (Manali - Pandu Ropa):
On fourth day of Manali - Hamya Herbal Trek, we trek for 10 km to reach Pandu Ropa. Pandu Ropa is situated at 2800 mts. The camp is located on the left bank of Hamta Nullah. From here three trek leading to different valleys which are abundant in herbal plants. Here one can find beautiful caves and tents can also be pitched. Overnight in Pandu Ropa.
Day 5 (Pandu Ropa- Chikka - Pandu Ropa):
We trek to Chikka and come back to Pandu Ropa. Chhika is situated at 3000 mtrs. Here and further above the tree line plenty of bushes and herbs, e.g., gentian, Kurro, Swertia Chirata, Mantha- Sylvstris, cannabis Sativa & Morchella are available..
Day 6 (Pandu Ropa – Balugera, base of Hamta):
We trek through green forest with spectacular views for 10 km to reach Balugera. Balugera is situated at 3800 mts. Approximately 3 km. Below Hamta Pass. Overnight in Balugera.
Day 7 (Balugera):
In search of herbal plants e.g. Aconitum heterophuyllum, Gentian Kurroo, Discorea, Pdophyllum haxandrum, Valeriana Wallichii, Mantha-Sylvstris and many other medicinal plants. This herbal trek is gaining height upto Hamta Pass. At Pass, a panoramic view of peaks in Central Lahaul and close view of northern face of Deo Tibba (6001 M) and Indrasan (6221 M) is available. Overnight in Balugera.
Day 8 (Balugera - Pandu Ropa):
On the 8th day, we return back to Pandu Ropa. Overnight in Pandu Ropa.
Day 9 (Pandu Ropa - Manali):
Manali - Hamya Herbal Trek continues with our walk back to Manali. Overnight in Manali.
Day 10 (Manali - New Delhi):
We continue early morning by driving back to Chandigarh and from there boarding a connecting train to New Delhi.
Day 11 (New Delhi):
Reach New Delhi. Transfer to airport for flight to onwards journey. Manali - Hamya Herbal Trek concludes.
