Manimahesh Trek
Manimahesh Peak is located 35 km from Bharmour. It is also called Chamba Kailash.The peak is 5486 m above sea level.Manimahesh is also famous for Manimahesh yatra (pilgrimage).The pilgrimage starts in Bharmour. Bharmour has beautiful ancient temples. Also the Manimahesh peak has remained unconquered so far.
However, in 1968, an Indo-Japanese team of mountaineers headed by Nandini Patel attempted to scale the peak.Now it is believed that this mountain possesses divine powers and would remain unconquered.The mountaineers, however, attribute their inability to scale this peak to the harsh mountain terrain.

Day 1 (New Delhi, India):
Arrive Delhi. Meet Himalayan Trekker representative. Board morning train/bus to reach Dharamsala.Overnight in Dharamsala.
Day 2 (Dharamsala - Hardsar - Dancho, 2280 M):
On second day of Manimahesh Trek, we drive to Hardsar from Dharamsala. From Hardsar, we gradually ascend to Dancho. It takes around three hrs to walk these 7 km, from Hardsar to Dancho. Overnight in camp.
Day 3 (Dancho - Manimahesh Lake, 3950 M):
On third day, we climb from Dancho to Manimahesh Lake. This is long and gradual climb. Overnight in camp.
Day 4 (Manimahesh Lake - Dancho):
We start our journey back, we come back to Dancho. Overnight in camp.
Day 5 (Dancho - Dharamsala):
We come back to Dharamsala where we started the trek from. Overnight in Dharamsala.
Day 6 (Dharamsala):
Half-day sightseeing.We visit various monasteries. Reach Pathankot in evening.Board overnight train to New Delhi.
Day 7 (New Delhi):
Arrive New Delhi.Transfer to airport for flight to onwards journey. Manimahesh Trek concludes.
