The major modes of transport available in Goa for a local sightseeing or travel tour are: bus, car, motorcycle, auto-rickshaw and ferry. The motorbikes, moped, scooters and bicycles can be hired on daily basis and are available on the beaches as well as the city area.
By Bus

The motorable and smooth roads in Goa provide an easy access to all the tourist places in Goa. The buses are operated by the state and private corporations and are frequently available from almost all the major tourist places and locations within Goa.
By Car:-
Both self and chauffer driven cars are available on rent for a local tour of Goa. The other reasonable option is the tourist taxis available near the airport, hotels and resorts, and the taxi stands in Goa.
By Motorcycle:-
The mode of transport unique in Goa is the yellow motorcycle taxi, also known also known as the 'pilot'. It is the fastest and the most economic option for the local tour of Goa.
By Auto Rickshaw :-
These three wheeled vehicles, run by the metres, charge per kilometer of the whole journey by the tourists. They are available near the airport, bus stand, railway station and also have their independent Auto Rickshaw stand.
By Ferry:- 
Despite the presence of bridges, the local ferryboats help the tourists to cross the rivers separating the tourist destinations in Goa. The ferry carries people as well as vehicles from one shore to another shore and operates at the popular river crossings like Divar to Narve, Old Goa to Divar Island, Querim to Tiracol, and Cavelossim to Assolna. A special ferry operates from Panaji to Betim across the Mandovi river.
