In Kasauli, just take in a breath of fresh air, one look at the wonderful view and you will begin to feel rejuvenated! Get bewitched by the melodious bird-song resounding in every corner of the tiny but beautiful hill station of Kasauli. If you are an ardent birdwatcher – then Kasauli is your paradise for the virgin pine and deodar forests are teeming with birdlife – parrots, humming birds, flycatchers, minuets, magpies and much more. Kasauli is also quite a honeymoon heaven, a wonderful place to unwind after a hectic wedding. The British established the hill station of Kasauli during the days of the Raj. Although they've long been gone from Kasauli, they've left behind more than a mere hint of their presence in the quiet cobbled streets, the flower-filled gardens fronting gabled bungalows and the lovely churches around Kasauli. The bustle of Shimla, just 77 km away, seems almost part of another time zone.

Walk down the meandering road along the Upper and Lower Mall in Kasauli. You will be happy to note the surprisingly absence of too many shops. Part of Kasauli’s charm as a hill-station are the wonderful forest views. Stop to have picnics under the venerable trees or just catch up on your reading – in short do as you please. Kasauli’s lazy charms make it ideal for couples on their honeymoon to discover more about each other. Once you have chilled out, get some air and exercise – walk to Manki Point (4 km, 6322 ft), both for the stupendous view and the interesting temple dedicated to the monkey god Hanuman. Kasauli's two churches, the Baptist Church (dating back to 1922) and the imposing neo-gothic Christ Church, with its stained glass windows, merit a visit.
