1.Eklingji & Nagda
Located about 22km north of Udaipur, Eklingji is a small village has a number of ancient temples. The Shiva temple here was originally built in 734 AD. The walled complex includes an elaborately pillared hall under a large pyramidal roof and features a four-faced Shiva image of black marble. At Nagda are three old temples. The Jain temple of Adbudji, which though in ruins has interesting architecture. The nearby the Sas Bahu (Mother-in-law Daughter-in-law) Temples have intricate architecture and carvings, including some erotic figures.
2. Haldighati
Located about 40km away is a historical site, the scene of the famous battle of 1576 AD fought between Rana Pratap, the heroic son of Udai Singh and the massive forces of Mughal Emperor Akbar. A beautiful Chhatri (cenotaph) with white marble columns, dedicated to Rana Pratap stands here. The cenotaph dedicated to Chetak, Rana Pratap's famous horse is also noteworthy.
3. Shopping
Udaipur has countless small shops and many interesting local craft, particularly paintings in the Rajput - Moghul style. There's a good cluster of these shops on Lake Palace Road, next to the Rang Niwas Palace Hotel, and others around the Jagdish Temple.

Air
Indian Airlines daily connects Udaipur with Jodhpur, Jaipur, Aurangabad, Mumbai and Delhi. Dabok Airport is 21 Km. from the city centre and transportation by taxi takes 35-45 minutes.
Train
Udaipur is on the Western Railway network.. The Railway Station is about 4 Km. from the city centre. Udaipur is directly connected by rail with Delhi, Jaipur, Ajmer, Chittaur, Jodhpur and Ahmedabad.
Road
Udaipur is connected by National Highway No. 8, the major road link between Mumbai and Delhi. The Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh Road Transport Corporation operate buses to Udaipur from various regions. Private bus companies also operate in the region during night hours.
