1. Lachung
It is an idyllic valley surrounded by mist-shrouded mountains and great water falls. 2. Phensong Monastery
In the slope of the Phodong is the Phensong Monastery set amidst beautiful landscapes.
3. Phodong Monastery
One of the six mejor monasteries in Sikkim is Phodong Monastery ,built in the first quarter of the eighteenth century.
4. Labrang Monastery
A kilometer further from Phodong, the Labrang Monastery was built about a 100 years later.Labrang means "the dwelling place of lamas".
5. Tumlong Palace
Between the two monasteries are the Tumlong Palace which was the third capital of the erstwhile Kingdom of Sikkim.
6. Mangan
The North region's Headquarters at Mangan which has now become somewhat of a gateway to unexplored North.
7. Singik
A small village with a majestic view of Himalaya. One can enjoy the amazing surrounding view of Mount Khangchendzonga from here.
8. Chungthang
About 95 kms away from Gangtok enroute to Yumthang lies the tiny hamlet of Chungthang at the confluence of the two rivers,the Lachen Chhu (Which later evolves into Teesta) and Lachung Chhu. This is also a sacred place blessed by Guru Rimpoche.
9. Kabi Longstok
On the route from Gangtok to Yumthang visit Kabi Longstok where the Sikkimese history began. Tibetan Chieftain Khey-Bumser and Lepcha Shaman Te-kung-tek signed a treaty of brotherhood in the 13th. century.
