1. Tapkeshwar Temple

4. Rajaji National Park
Consists of three sanctuaries, namely Rajaji,Motickur and Chilla. It has elephant, leopard, sloth bear, striped hyena, spotted deer and variety of birds.
5. Sahastradhara
About 14km from the city and is famous for its natural beauty and medicinal waterfalls, Sahastradhara is a very popular picnic and entertainment spot. There is also an attractive little Shiva temple snuggling under an over-hanging cliff.
Places To Eat
1. Kumar
It is located on Rajpur Rd, serves up some of the best vegetarian food in town. Recommended are gajar ka halwa, makki ki roti and saron ka saag (corn roti with mustard-leaf spinach) with lassi.
2. Motimahal
One of the best in a string of eateries on the opposite side of Rajpur Rd, serves good veg and nonveg dishes.
3. Udipi Restaurant
It is located on Lytton Rd, and it has good south Indian dishes; masala dosas (curried vegie pancakes).
Daddy's It offers Mughlai, south Indian and Chinese food.
Getting There
By Air There is an airport called Jolly Grant in Dehradun which lies unused.
By Rail Dehradun is the terminus of the Northern Railway well connected to places like Amritsar, Howrah, Bombay, Delhi, Lucknow and Varanasi etc. A Delhi Dehradun Shatabdi Express has recently been introduced.
By Road Dehradun is very well connected with highways to Delhi and other cities of Uttar Pradesh. It is also the Gateway city to the hilly regions of Mussoorie and beyond and is connected with them with good all weather roads.
